Hi
As a second to the mention to change legal documents....Please be alert to
doing this.

Also: we were told when we moved my mother to a nursing home in MN to be
sure to REGISTER HER TO VOTE!. This would be one way of establishing her as
a RESIDENT of Minnesota if we needed some legal support in verifying this
later.

Also: We did need to get a new Power of Attorney in MN for durable affairs
as well as medical affairs. HOWEVER...do not destroy the copies from the
previous state (in our case Indiana)....we needed this copy three years later
when my Mother's sister passed away and we needed to handle some estate
matters for Mother in Indiana where she previously lived. Sorta like a new
verse to Auld Lang Syne......make new papers, but keep the old!!!!!!!
