I was nodding my head up and down when reading the mail
about how big companies fail to "get the message" from the
people who use their products.

Example: I was having a bunch of friends over for brunch
before a football game. I wanted to have a big variety of items
without putting in a lot of preparation time. At the supermarket
I bought one of those one quart jars of pre-cooked Great Northern
beans.

Well, the beans were so salty that no one could eat them.
The label gave salt as the third ingredient. Just one serving
of 1/2 cup of these beans provided 23% of the daily requirement
of salt for an adult.

I wrote a courteous letter to the company explaining that the
amount of salt was far in excess of what was needed for taste
and actually far in excess of what was healthy for a normal
person.

The company sent back a letter thanking me for choosing
their product AND ENCLOSED TWO COUPONS FOR TWO
MORE JARS OF THE SALTY BEANS.!

     Happy Bastille Day!
