I remember seeing the movie, "The Sundowners,"  many years ago..
If I remember correctly, it starred Robert Mitchum and .....
uhhhhhh.... Deborah Kerr, I think.

Excellent picture of life in OZ at that time.  And was as good the
second time, too when it made the rounds on TV.

Speaking of Aussie movies, I enjoyed "Phar Lap," a lot, tho that
might have been I'm a pushover for movies about horses. <grin>

Ohhhh.... another terrific, but scary as HE*L was "The Last Wave,"
starring as well as directed by Richard Chamberlin.  WOWIE!!!  I
was scared outta my wits when I saw THAT picture.  It's really
strange how something as simple as a diggeredoo (spelling?) , with
it's repetitious single note and tone, can express SO much passion
and fear.

I've looked for a tape of "The Last Wave" for years. but never
found one.

Darn....
