Fleurette, Requip is an agonist and is used alone in early stage Parkinson's or with levodopa/carbidopa to extend the time between doses. If you check the archives, there should be many posts about Requip and other agonists. The insert with my requip states that usually you start w/low dose and gradually increase. My neuro gave me a starter pack of requip from the drug company. It may take awhile to see/feel results from this med. One side effect that has lessened for me was some stomach upset in the initial use. Requip can also cause drowsiness and until you know it's effect on you, you may want to avoid driving or using power tools, etc. I am not familiar with Bromocriptine.
