Hi Kari,
My husband got his DBS bilateral STN two years ago, the results are great
and his life changed completely.
No dyskinesia or stiffness, no gait disturbances and the meds are reduced to
one third of the pre-op medication.
Before surgery he was taken 23 pills a day!
No more side - effects and no more " off periods "
My husband was totally dependent on other people and after these operation
he was able to help himself!
But, the results or benefits of these operation is for each person very
different. But the ultimate results can take for awhile.
