HI DAvid. Your stoppage of breathing is probably Sleep Apnea. If like many PWP you sleep on your back it can be aggravated or triggered. As others have said contact your local MD as soon as possible and have him consider sleep studies in a sleep laboratory. This can measure whether during the episodes you blood oxygen saturation drops to dangerous levels and when it happens. Often the cause is folds of tissue in the airway especially if you are overweight.
