The night drooling common to many PWP (me included) seems to be what you
said, sort of a body/brain forgetting to swollow. I haven't experienced
waking up choking, but when I am trying to fall asleep my body/brain
forgets to breath and I am startled back to full wakefulness with the
need to gasp for air. Obviously something takes over once I am fully
asleep as I am OK for the 4-6 hours I am capable of sleeping at a stretch
these days.

Anybody else having this experience with breathing?
