Hi Pat,
All major e-mail programs now include tools that help you block spam by letting you create your
own filters based on addresses or text in the message. But you must manually configure the
filters, and you first have to read the spam to know what to block.

Most email software packages allow you to "block sender." In Pegasus, all you have to do is
go to Tools, then Filters and all your unwanted senders become history. No need to switch
accounts or contact your ISP in desperation. You'll never even know you've got SPAM
or other unwanted mail. I know Internet Explorer, in its latest version will "block sender" as well,
sending the mail straight to the delete bin. You will only notice a blip. I am sure Netscape has
this feature also.

I use Pegasus and Opera, so what i'm about to tell you may not be
quite correct.... You basically open one of the offending e-mails and...

Add or remove an e-mail address from the list of unwanted e-mail senders....

Select Blocked Senders List from Message Rules under the Tools menu.

In the Block Senders tab, press Add and enter the email address or domain name of everyone
you want to add to the Blocked Senders List.

Enter a specific user address - [log in to unmask] for example
Specifying an e-mail address will block any e-mail sent specifically from that e-mail address.

Messages from Senders in the List will automatically be sent to the Deleted Messages folder.

I hope this helps.... murray
