People, please don't get hysterical about this. Yes, it is a serious problem
that will be fixed, but consider this:

50 people killed over several years pales in comparison to 50,000 per year
in all auto accidents.

I'm sorry Darwin,
But this is one of those things in Column 1 ~~~~things which can and
should be changed!!

If you were one of those 50 people killed or friends or family of these people,
you'd have a completely different attitude.
Maybe you'd like to try to explain to me how keeping less air in a
defective tire,
or even the correct air pressure in a tire is going to correct the defect.
Because this old gal cannot understand anyones opinion that the driver of the
vehicle which has faulty tires can possibly be held accountable!!!!!

What we have here is a Japanese company (Firestone) who has been dragging
their feet, knowing full well this problem was not going to go away by itself,
and offering new tires to people in foreign countries for over a year and
letting us in North America go hang. It makes me wonder if they are still
trying to retaliate for us whipping their A$$$ in WWII???

just me,
a very mad at Firestone,
