Hilary, on a prescription at the bottom there are usually 2 places for Drs signature. One says fill as written, the other says generic may be substituted. Pharmicists will usually explain this to you.However, all they HAVE to do is fill as the Dr has written. Hope this answers your question. Juanita CG for George 74/71/64
