Hi All,
I saw this on the FreePintBar and thought I'd pass it on to my fellow "geeks".

If you are fed up with coming across obscure, techie terms from the computing
world, there is a good specialist dictionary available. It's called the Free OnLine
Dictionary of Computing, or FOLDOC.

It has 13000 entries at present, and the number is rising. There is a section for
recent entries if you like to check out the latest acronyms, abbreviations and
words picked up by the editors. And the dictionary is now available for Psion
and on CD.

The definitions I have looked at are clearly written and all techie words occurring
in the definitions are hyperlinked to their entries. Entries are also classified, so
you can get a list of related words too, for example, natural language processing
is classified under artificial intelligence. And you can get a hyperlinked list of
these classes along with the number of words in each one.
