Carole 'n Joe....

Sinemet itself can cause sudden drops in blood pressure.

I'd   suggest Joe take a HALF of a Sinemet at a time, taking the
first 1/2 about 30 to 45 minutes  prior to to taking the second
half.

The worst that can happen is it won't change the BP problem, so
Joe can rule out Sinemet  as the cause of the problem.

And the BEST that might happen is that Joe's BP returns to the
"normal" range.
