don't dispare -- progress is being made in other areas.

i think someone felt sorry for the pigs--
they would be delivered by c-section
and then live out their lives in isolation--
which would be hard, because they are a social animal.

   has anyone seen the pork meat production feedlots out here on the prairie
abyss?
   Morris, MN, USA (where i live) is a center for breeding LEAN porkers.
   it is big business and i don't have anything to do with it.

also, most important,
virus DNA is an intrinsinc  (sp?) part of pig DNA--
there is no way to seperate out the viruses which are latent
and could become activated
also we don't know much about things like prions

read "The Hot Zone"  for a not so fictional mystery-thriller
about viruses being introduced into the human population.
