Joan Hartman - You asked, "Does anyone have ideas where to go to get custom made shoes??????" When I was on vacation in Thailand, I had two pair custom made. They fit great for about a month and then began to break down. Just this past week I went into Nordstroms. I did not intend to buy shoes, but I found the most comfortable, yet nice looking shoes -- a brand named Ecco -- made in Denmark. I bought a tan sport shoe and a black dress shoe. I mentioned this brand to several women friends. they say they are very familiar with the women's shoes in this brand and like them.
