Barb, I think you should ask your doctor for a referral to a speech
pathologist. They are trained specifically to deal with the very
areas of the tongue, mouth, and throat that you describe, and should
be able to provide information and help.

Has your doctor discussed the possibility of a dystonia in the
throat area with you? If not, you might want to consider bringing
that up. Please keep us informed of your progress.
