Hi All, When I was searching for "transdermal" for Nancy's Sinemet Patch, I chanced on this....... MACROCHEM has developed a topically applied gel product for treating erectile dysfunction, Topiglan. It is a formulation of alprostadil with SEPA®, MacroChem’s patented transdermal drug delivery technology. Alprostadil has been approved in the US for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. A Phase IIA clinical study of Topiglan’s efficacy demonstrated a 67 - 75 percent response compared with a 17 percent response in patients treated with a placebo. Phase IIB is ongoing and confirming the positive response demonstrated from the earlier study. MACROCHEM believes that when Topiglan is approved for marketing, this non-invasive product will become one of the preferred methods of treating erectile dysfunction.
