Bazookas, howitzers, automatic weapons are already banned from possession by civilians. Any kind of firearm is restricted from convicted felons, people with serious mental illness, and minors. We have many laws restricting the possession and use of firearms, and if those laws were enforced, we would have less problems with illegal gun use. Question to a Pro-gun person: Does hunting require a > repeater rifle with notched bullets? Most states' hunting laws *require* that bullets used in hunting be of the expanding type (to assure a kill, rather than a wounding). Outlawing the use of a tool because it can cause damage is illogical. Tools only cause damage when used by people.
