david boots wrote this short story...it is mild compared to others. I DON'T recommend it for the newly diagnosed. he has written a number of excellent stories-- check out the archives. i saw one when i first joined this list and it scared me a lot...it was nightmare material... and more terrifying because they were so close to real or could happen. now i've had a time to put PD in some sort of perspective. i've gone back to david boots web site and read what i could it is a little easier to separate fact from fantasy and to understand the twist of sadness that is there and that all of us can identify with it. writing can be a release to many what shape it takes is important it is communication--with others. a list like this provides fast feedback unavailable at any other time in history. about the same time as i read boots' story i was also greeted and welcomed to the list by the kind words and humor of ken becker. it provided a balance and a feeling that there was life after PD diagnosis. > Paul, > I love the phrase , > > Navigating a narrow hallway while > > "off" is like being a human pinball as I bounced off one wall then the > > next ..........................................................................
