One Senator defined "Gun control" as a "Steady hand."
Can anyone tell me what has happened to robbery and other crimes in Texas
since the okay to carry a hidden pistol went into effect. Don't guess --
only the facts please.
Attention NRA lovers: There are good arguments for allowing guns, but does
that have to include automatic weapons, bazookas, atom bombs. Where should
the limits be placed? Or do you believe in no limits?
In the gun-lovers favor is the true story of the female psychologist who was
a prisoner in her car. She managed to insert her hand into her purse, and
start her miniature tape recorder. The complete half-hour recording was of
conversation between them as she tried to use psychology to talk him out of
harming her. She almost succeeded -- but then he raped and killed her.
Suppose her tape recorder had been a gun? Could she have done him in?
Definitely could not with a recorder!
Trying to interpret the constitution is not within our power and will get us
nowhere. Why not think of the points that pro-gun-control and no-gun-control
can agree on and/or compromise.
Question to a Pro-gun person: Does hunting require a repeater rifle with
notched bullets?
Question: to an Anti-gun person: Is a bow and arrow something to be
eliminated? If that is not deadly enough, what about a crossbow (very deadly)?
I personally am uncertain, but the arguments presented here have been just
that -- arguments.
Can we agree on tougher penalties for a crime while carrying a weapon?
(I suspect more overall harm has been done by knives, but it doesn't make
headlines.)
The army taught me: If he points a gun at you, assume he intends to shoot
you.
So both sides -- point your guns!
