Dear Listfriends,

First a statement : This is a general letter, meant to be very positive and not adressed to someone special. I am not judging anyone and I am not trying to be a smart Alec. I know that some of my words are said by other people. I am sorry for using the same words. I guess that we agree:)

I hardly ever post something on the list anymore, because everything people or I say, is received as something very negative by someone.  It is so easy to be negative. When I start writing a letter or an article I never know what it  will be like, when I start. But I make sure it is positive, but yet it can be explained negative by somebody who is negative. Some of us are negative. That's the way they are.

It is also so easy to say something positive. In  stead of throwing mud, throw flowers with a little mud on it:). Just don't look at the negative aspects of it, or at least don't talk about it in a negative way. Only speak about the good sides and about the bad sides  in a positive way or don't say anything at all (I have now visions of empty E-mails meaning that this letter is very bad).

I see constantly letters about other people. I have missed self criticism and humble letters. But most of all I missed positive letters. Of course there have been several of those too.  After being 5 years on this list I compared a day now with 5 years ago. I noticed some  good changes and bad ones. I started with 17 messages on March  29, 1995, followed by 17 messages on March 30. Today (it is now 4pm) 60 messages so far, of which I can delete 50 immediately.  The letters of 5 years ago are to the point and no criticism. No letters about how bad some one is or what he or she did all wrong. Can we write each other without bad words, and be positive?

What is my point : "Don't throw mud at each other, be positive and constructive and use where the list is meant for :

"Exchange of Information"

I have some news to share with you, or actually it is not new, but already working.

Have you seen the new folder of the Parkinson's Alliance ?? THAT is a positive message. The folder is named : "To speed the cure for Parkinson's Disease, invest wisely. When I open the folder something really catches my eye : "Together, we can find the cure  by 2005." Yeeeehawwww ..that is what I like to hear.  What can I do more to raise money?? I will do anything to get the cure even faster. You really should order a few of those folders and spread them in your city. Especially you can give them to fundraiser organisations who can raise the money. The Parkinson's Alliance guarantees two dollars of research for every dollar donated. The $1000 we raised during our bowling activity will become $2000. So if you know a way to raise $100,000 it will be $200,000 for research for PD. !!!  Or if you send a $100 it will be $200 for research.

We must bind together to win that race. I want to be cured, the sooner the better  !!!!  Do you want to be cured? Don't stay passive but stand up and raise money to fund the research. Lets do it together.
