Janet - thanks for the poem, & Charles thanks for the illustration.

After High School I went to Germany to a school there.  We had a lecturer
come from Holland who spoke on Philosophy.  Some of the things he said
turned my young skull full of mush inside out.  One thing he said changed my
life.

"Love is not a feeling, its a choice"  "An unselfish choice motivated by
willing the Highest, and best for another."

All the years I worked with teens & families I always made this truth the
center of my curriculum.  It was always the center of my premarital
counseling.  By our very nature we are like the little fish in the story.
It is true, Love can be felt, but its not a feeling.  Love is demonstrated,
and is learned best by self sacrifice.
