One for the MDs who watch the list.
I have seen frequent reports to the effect that up to 25% of PD is
misdiagnosed. On checking deeper it seems that what was meant by this was
that 25% of patients diagnosed with PD, actually have PD+ or MSA or
something worse than plain PD. Nothing I found indicated that PD was being
misdiagnosed over less chronic ailments. For example, I have read of
Essential Tremor being misdiagnosed as PD, but not the other way round. So
what is the medical view?
