Edith, thank you, thank you, thank you. I am overwhelmed by the
effusion of support and friendship and love expressed in this PD list.

Barbara has been in the hospital for 12 days now and is still unstable
because she takes little by mouth, but is still given glucose
intraveinously. We have accepted the recommendation of the neuro to
place a G tube into her stomach and send her to a nursing home for a
short time so that she can obtain a good regimenn of food and medicine.
When she stabilizes enough to ingest orally, the tube can be plugged,
and eventually removed.

We are blessed with wonderful friends like Conne R., Barbara S., and
Doris P. who take turns at Barbara's bedside to help the nurses and both
kids with the care and feeding. We are checking into the nursing homes
in the area for quality, but no rating exist, so that we speak to those
who have experienced these, and social workers, and Ombudsman at the
hospital. We are optimistic about the outcome.

Maybe I'll go to Paris and London for respite for a couple of weeks
during that stabilization period while Barbara is in good hands. (Yeah,
sure!!!) Love to all Michel
