(Baltimore, MD), conducted a five-center trial to examine DOPASCAN™, a SPECT imaging ligand, as a diagnostic marker for Parkinson's disease. DOPASCAN™ is a radiotracer that binds to the dopamine transporter and provides a measure of the integrity of dopamine terminals. Enrollment and follow-up of 96 subjects at five sites was completed in December 1996.
