I agree with both of you that we should continue this campaign we have started to try to get the S.2015 to a vote. All of the Senators from all the 50 States + all the outlying territories have been contacted at least once. Maybe we are not getting personal emails from them, but we are at least getting notification that they received our emails. I thank all of you who sent email, phone calls and FAXES. Barb Knight has already emailed to Larry King Live and I'd suggest that we all do the same. Andrew: I sent you a private email early this morning, but I want to bring it up to the list. Age has nothing to do with diagnosis. When I had a Lewy Body Blood test done almost 9 years ago, only 2 places in the USA could test for that. One was in MA and the other in CA, probably a lot more are capable of that now. The blood has to be kept cold. There are special containers which have dry ice in them and the container has to be at your Doctors before the blood is drawn. Its a very expensive test. 9 years ago it was $375, its not a run of the mill blood test! Please don't read the Internet and get yourself all alarmed about your diagnosis, or what you think your diagnosis might be. I'm not saying don't read them, I'm saying don't try to diagnosis yourself. You are going to need all the energy you can muster later on in this fight for life. This is to everyone on this list, talk these things over with your Doctor. If he gets irritated with you for reading these things and bringing them up and wanting to discuss them, GET YOURSELF ANOTHER DOCTOR. The world is full of them, and yes, to someone who asked about a Movement Disorder Specialist, we all need one in the beginning, then our care is turned over to a Neurologist to monitor us. Maybe you won't need to see a MDS again, or maybe just once a year or something such as that. Its worth the drive believe me~~~been there, done that. just me, Marjorie
