I am one of the many p.w.p. that lurk and learn. I thank the many who post regularly for all their shared knowledge. as a semiretired educator, I know that knowledge is power. I asked dr. Liberman a question about movement disorder specialists and about seeing one. he recommended several. they are all at least an hour and a half away. The question, is this specialist worth the visit. of course Dr Lieberman thinks so. I gather from all I reAad that they a re worth seeing. Do I get a referral from my neuro or do I just make an appointment? Will this movement disorder specialist be my new neurologist? Who does follow up care? He is a long drive for frequent visits. The real problem isthat I was diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago and started on sinamet 10/100 and last year he up the dose to 20/250. I am just beginning to fell the slowness and stiffness and numbness. Thank you inadvance. I will leave for my part time child care job. I strongly advise work as long as possible. I do hope to post more often. john in Florida
