As I recall, Russ _was_ very supportive of any theme tying into "reading". . .! I'd like to add my Yes-vote to the theme as proposed by Doug. I am intrigued by the idea that our discussions could shift back and forth: acts of reading, notions of literacy, and the various contexts shaping our understanding of what reading means AND what we read means. I hope that makes some sort of sense.
