Jennifer,
I believed in the Bible before you were even a twinkle in your
Father's eye, way, way before you were born.

What you are discussing is NOT what the rest of us are discussing.

We are discussing Stem Cell Research, to me IVF is a miracle God gave
childless couples so they could have their own child , to give a woman,
who otherwise would never feel the kick of that little foot in her womb,
to never know the love a Mother develops for a child before she ever
sees his/her face, this is a miracle brought about by modern science.

If we willingly destroy cells, which are left over from this miracle
because they cannot be used on someone else, and are incapable
of sustaining life on their own, then , IMOHO,
we become as the Dog in the Manger, who can't eat the hay, nor digest it,
but he lays on top of it and snarls and snaps at any animal who attempts to
eat it.

The Bible also states that there is nothing new under the Sun, so I feel that
this knowledge to give couples their own child, and if they wish to donate the
unused cells for the benefit of mankind all over the world, is also a gift
from God.
I can't imagine a more Charitable gift anyone could give to their fellow man.

just me,
Marjorie
