I was asked by our state support group coordinator to post this.... The Parkinson's Disease Center in Birmingham, AL, affiliated with Kirklin Clinic and UAB (Univ. of Alabama at Birmingham) is searching for a PD/Movement Disorder Specialist. As of this date, Alabama has only two PD specialist with a four month "new patient" waiting list. We "parkies" apparently are increasing in numbers here in Alabama. Seriously, they are looking for a doctor....If you know of a doctor interested in relocating, please share this info.....Interested parties should contact the PD Center, UAB, or support group coordinator, in Birmingham, Alabama.
