patient-autonomic problems, chronically ill not eligible for dbs, meds don't work too well, at max of sinemet dosage. agonists dont work the aides can get paid enuf and not have one. u can offered the physicians paymenet without going thru insurance and they can't see u. the families get upset cause the patient isn't getting care the aides get upset because the families aren't taking off work or the families are not 'helping' enuf. shoot just give me a bath!!!pop open a &&?% can of ensure, and do what the patient care plan says on the agencies sheet. Go to college if u want to make what the doctors make. I don't want to hear about it anymore! if the patient is young and looks good then they don't need an aide. WRONG - Why do people apply for jobs that require cars if they don't have one??? Why do people take on more patients if they can't see the ones they already have?? Why do er residents say to page them and say they are going to be available on that day and then they aren't and noone can find them??? then we are suppose to feel sorrow for them cause they worked 5 12 hour days. and???so what? that is part of becoming a physician. Patients don't need to hear that. WHy do operators at the hospital ask " are u a Kaiser patient?" when I ask them to page a resident that told me to page him. Kaiser??? are they nuts!!!?? the worse Getting asked "Are you sure u were at the <hospital> Emergency Room Friday?? Yes. if I am not home and not at rehab or therapy then check the E.R. It really stinks when u have excellent , intelligent medical personal and u can't get an appointment for weeks, months, I don't know what to do. I try being nice, tried laughing, tried taking care of myself. I sleep when i can.My body can't take this lack of care anymore. I don't care if the er resident just worked 5 12 hour days. at least he works. at least he is well somewhat. I am tired of hearing 'nancy always pops back', 'she is a fighter.' I am the patient. I am retired. I can't digest food. i have venous pooling problems, neuropathy, orthostatic hypostension, Aty. pd, and on and on. my energy and dignity are gone. i hope my husband gets the proposal, i hope the university gets their cut. I hope the hospital finds another physician to replace the one who left . i hope the aides get pay what the RN's get paid, I hope the insurance companies make their billions - good for the economy, shoot i shooting for a bath, and care. I hope people realize what an important role seniors and children play in today's society. Good Day.
