JoAnn my friend in Houston, I do agree with you 100%. I think that
morality or ethics have little to do with any major consideration that I
might have to help in any way those that I already know and love. I have
wondered as this particular discussion arose whether anyone has thought
about what benefit it is to continue serious genetic flaws?  I would
think that parents would consider the ramifications of knowingly passing
on any birth defects or future inherited conditions. Is it the idea that
to give life and birth is a right? Maybe it is better to think it is a
priviledge and one that should be thought through very seriously before,
not after the event.

PS Marjorie, I realize that this has little to do with the ongoing work
to go forward with the stem cell bill and research...but it is an aside
