Hi Everyone, My father has recently been diagnosed with PD and so I have been lurking on the list to find out as much as I can about the disease so that I can do what I can to help him. Apart from the PD (which actually is responding quite well to Sinemet) he is in pain due to a Sciatic nerve problem and so I was very interested in some research being carried out in Oz to attack the problem of chronic pain. Our local ABC TV ran the story tonight our time and there is a transcript at: http://www.abc.net.au/quantum/s188484.htm#transcript This first part of the story relates to chronic pain suffered as a result of some trauma and so it may not be relevant to PD related pain which has been spoken about on the list however it might be of interest to list members to know that research is being carried out in this area.
