Thank you so much for directing me to this site that has promise to stop long term chronic pain. My mother has the after effects of shingles that attacked a nerve on the side of her scalp affecting her eye and damaging its cornea. The pain is worse in some ways than the itching that has been part of her life for 7 years. As anyone who has had shingles knows, the after effect of it often is nerve pain that doesnt have any medication that helps the pain at all. This news link seems to hold promise for this kind of pain that drives some to desperate means to stop it. If pain clinics as the University of Washington Medical College has do not have any real help, maybe once this is proven ( if so), then pain management will begin with a solution not just the hope it now offers. * seattle* Audrey friend of pwp aussie John 49/42/38?
