Darwin....

You've gotta rethink how one should arrive at a realistic
near-true number of "test" messages that are in the PD archives.
And the first thing you've gotta do to achieve those correct
numbers is throw out the numbers as they exist today and start
over again (don't get all in a flap about that - it shouldn't take
you more than three or four hours) <wee smirk>

Now that you're back at square-one, figure only ONE test message
per individual (no matter HOW many times they post their "test"
messages on any given day)

You see, it's a "them against us" world (with "THEM" being the
computers of the world owned by very insecure people who could
NEVER send only ONE "test" message in a 24 hour period. It would
drive them NUTS to just post one teensy weensy little message that
says "test" on it. So what do they do? Why they post their
"test" messages 68 times in one day, and maybe another coupla
dozen "test" messages in the evenings (Heck... I'm surprised they
can even lift their hand and de-cramp their fingers long enough to
type something even so indignificant as the word "test" by
evening!(grin)

Anyway... if ya delete or otherwise ignore repeated "test"
messages originating from the the same person. on a per diem
basis, the number SHOULD drop dramatically.

Of course, the individual who is a compulsive, dyed-in-the-wool
"test-message-junkie" is not going to be hampered by the fact that
someone in Oshgosh refuses to send them a response to their "test"
message After all - they can send even MORE of them "test"
messages the next day!

Gotta go now and count the number of replies to my original test
messsge (YOU remember THAT don't ya? It's th message wherein I
requested no responses! <LOL>
