The stimulant effect of eldyprel(Selegiline) and then the swing to
depressed state that followed is reason I decided that it wasn't for me.

Do you know that Selegiline has in his composition (or produces)
anphentamine
that is a kind of stimulant not allowed in the Olympic Games ...   ;-)
