Does anyone have annecdotal (or studied) info on edema?

How has pd medication affected it?

Is edema a problem for you?
----------------------------------------------------------
A few years before I was diagnosed with parkinsons,
I had to get my wedding ring enlarged.
My hand seemed to be swollen at times.
I thought it was carpal tunnel problems,
because I was working intensely with my hands building art furniture.
I couldn't understand why it was my left hand that was affected,
I'm right handed, the left hand usually had it easy.

Neurological testing for carpal tunnel didn't reveal anything.
But, when the neurologist gave the results
of the shock-tickle-twitch test,
she asked me if i was aware of a head or neck injury.
Nope.
It left me uneasy and wondering.

Since it occured pre-PD diagnosis,
edema is probably another one of those autonomic nervous system symptoms.

My left hand also sometimes appears darker than my right...
probably blood circulation thing.
I asked my neurologist about it, his response was--
"don't know anything about that".

I've been taking Wobenzyme and bioflavinoids for two months now.
It has significantly reduced swelling during most of the day.
I know Wobenzyme may be a medically controversial subject,
but, it helps, actual proof. It is supposed to be anti-inflammatory.
Each month I've had the opportunity to see my living blood
under a dark field microscope.
It has been interesting.
