My personal experience: I am unable to take Sinemet. It lowers my blood pressure excessively and doesn't seem to help my tremor. I went to Mirapex which seemed to help, but gave me sleep attacks. I titrated up on Requip and at the same time titrated down on Mirapex. I discovered that my best results were half doses of Mirapex and half doses of Requip. I still tremor, but don't think it's as bad and don't get sleep attacks. Your pharmaceutical experts will say Mirapex and Requip both affect the same sectioon of the brain and aare therefore equal. But they aren't equal. they are chemically different. And one is disposed of thru the kidneys and the other thru the bladder so it's less load on either organ. Anyway, it's the best mix I came up with. Dave, Did you ever get the article I sent you on the Gulf War Syndrome and toxicity exposure as it relates to neural damage of the brain and the need for research by the DOD?
