To friends and relatives:
Barbara was so distressed this past week-end that
we decided to bring her home a week earlier than we had planned
originally. We got in touch with all those involved; we met and
discussed at length the finite details of transferring Barb from the rehab
center with the hospice nurse this AM, signed all the papers and brought her
home. The hospice team including her primary physician will be handling
her care, and have begun operations and will contact us for more specific
hands-on. The Parkinson medications regimen which had
been reduced by about 70% some weeks ago has been maintained at the
same level. Leah has arranged to take time off from work to care for her
mother who appears to sleep over twenty hours a day and has difficulty keeping
her eyes open even to greet close friends who have
visited. We'll just keep going from
day to day.
with love to you all,
Michel
