I guess killing wheat WOULD ripen it uniformly. As close as I ever have
been to a farm is a vegetable garden.

I was "pulled" or "volunteered" (lol) to do spraying so I guess you could
say I was only a novice. We had a "certified" person who was supposed to do
the spraying. We had gloves & paper masks, but never used them. When your
in your 20's you just kinda think you will live forever.

Working for non profit organizations most of my adult life, I always had a
second job. Much of the time I worked as a mechanic. Restoring old cars
WAS also a hobby. I have been using Carburetor cleaner "dip tanks" both at
work & home. That stuff goes right through rubber gloves after 20 or 30
minutes. It doesn't melt them, just kinda warps them. It sure made me
feel strange, and gave me a "cold - numbing" sensation half way up my arms.

By the way I put one to many zero's on the tank size. It should have read
3,000, not 30,000 gal. Ooopppps ! ! !
