> How does our FDA stack up to the Canadian and Europian  equivalents?

There is no european equivalent. Every country has it's own bureaucracy. It
means that different countries OK different drugs. For instance, this year
pergolide was introduced in France for the first time, pramipexol is not yet
available whereas ropinirol was OKed at the beginning of it's appearance.
There must be some logic.
