Hi,my name is Sylvia I joined this email group thinking I could learn
some information. My Father was diagnosed a year ago with parkinsons. He
was having trouble with his balance,no energy, and trouble breathing. He
has been diagnosed with emphazema sp. also. He walks very slow and
staggers some and has to catch himself. A few weeks ago he froze up in
the lobby of the dr. office. I didnt make a big deal of it,I just walked
back to him and waited until he could move. This past weekend he froze
getting up from his chair, half up and couldnt move. His eating is
sooooo!!!! slow and I notice he does not swallow meat much any more. He
still says he does not have parkinsons but a breathing problem, thats
all. His dr. did not put him on any meds as of now,but sent him to
physical therepy. Our next appt. is 12-12-00. He goes to a general MD. a
Pulmanary DR. and none of them will tell him that parkinsons is causing
the energy problem, or mention the parkinsons. His memory is shot . He
cant remember anything of solve any problems. What do we look for next
the dr. says he is in the early stages, but he has had the tremors for
over 13 years. Is this the right group to post this
to????? Thanks Sylvia Rogers
