I just need to get something off my chest!
We just keep getting these posts to this list,
which has many, many Veterans on it, from some
supposedly disgruntled military person.

Some of the vets on this list stayed
the 20, but many got out after the war, be it WW2,
Korean, or Viet Nam, they also gave a big chunk
of their lives so we can live in the USA in freedom.
To these men and women we owe more than any of us
will ever have, or earn ,in our entire lifetime.

Without your service we'd be speaking
Japanese now instead of our native tongues.
Instead of having the freedom to say what we think,
and trying to one-up-manship each other on this list,
we'd be under censorship, at least a partial censorship.
There may not be a law against it, but we'd all be smart
enough not to say it.

USA has an all volunteer military force now, if
some of these grunts are so unhappy, let them
get out of the service, no one is twisting their
arms to stay in. Taking a re-enlistment bonus
(if there is still such a thing?) and then spending
your next tour of duty griping all the time,is unacceptable
behavior, not only in the military but also in civilian life.

In the military you are taught, in fact it's drummed
into your head, you are not saluting the man, you
are saluting the "OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OF
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".

I salute all you Vets, both Ladies and Gentlemen, and if I
ever can catch this mealy mouthed grunt, I'll personally
take him to the woodshed!

just me,
Marjorie, 68/58/55
married for 32 years
to a USAF retiree with 23 years
of active duty, and very proud of it!!!!!
