NOW I want to know what was wrong with the method we used in elementary school to choose the class officers: We wrote the name and the position of each candidate, folded it up and dropped in a box, the teacher totalled the results, and in minutes we had a President, Vice President, Treasurer ( I don't know why, who had MONEY?) and Secretary. The best news is, we never needed a recount, chads were non-existent, computers were not seen in homes or schools, but everyone had a pencil and paper! I am getting to the point where I believe a flip of a coin would be as fair as the results of counting the votes, but we will have to see how this plays out in real life. I don't think we want a President who does not want the job bad enough to fight for it, do we? Let's just hope whoever wins is able to heal the wounds fast and keep this country on the right course!
