Another comment to keep in mind re: treadmill training.......

Some of us have gait problems, and using the treadmill only exaserbates PD
symptoms.  Before urging/pushing your PWP on to the treadmill be sure to
evaluate the mobility of the PWP or ask your local physical therapists or
physician for his/her opinion.  We are not all moving the same.

The treadmill is probably helpful for patients without some gait
irregularities...anything to give exercise and promote better cardiovascular
conditioning.  However, those who freeze, drag a foot, have foot drop etc.
may not respond to treadmill therapy.
