 Tom
> Tom--Have you considered a laser pointer? Light weight, useable in full
sun, and it makes a great cat exercise device.
EJB

Dear EJB,

I have experimented with laser pointers... while they may be useful for
overcoming a freeze they are not very effective for gait hesitation i.e.
maintaining gait while "on the fly". This is because they don't generate
the apparent motion that a stationery object does as one steps over it i.e.
it moves with the subject. The other problems are that this is not a
hands-free device and is socially conspicuous.
