Eileen Atkinson and others, I enjoyed reading your post, Eileen. I noticed when you listed your husband's medication that he takes St. John's Wort. My question for you is -- Was this prescribed by his physician? Is St. John's Wort accepted by the scientific medical community in the UK? Over here in the States, it has not been endorsed by the Food and Drug Administration as having any scientifically proven benefit, but the homeopathic community recommends it as a "mood enhancer" and many people take it anyway. I am curious as to how this and other homeopathic treatments are viewed by the medical and popular communities outside the US.
