Bruce,

I use rubbing alcohol. I take out the ball & clean it. I take a q-tip and clean the rollers that the ball
makes contact with. Those rollers are the parts that really get a build up. I've been cleaning my mouse this
way for at least ten years. I don't give my mouse a proper burial until it dies for good. Those new ones
from Microsoft have no moving parts, using a beam of light. Every time I clean mine these days, I count my
pennies to see if I got the $35 to buy one (heehee)

Take care,

Subject: not pd: mouses' balls

is there anyone out there in computerland who knows what to use to clean the
ball on the underside of your mouse? not an earth shattering topic as
topics go, but my pointer sticks on my screen and i think it's the little
plastic ball underneath it.

thank you!!
