If Corrigan is NOT your neuro, you would be better off to check first with your movement disorder specialist who might provide an agonist that works for you. Depression can be a normal sequence to Parkinson's, but Clinical Depression is more serious and needs to be treated, and sometimes you might need a psychiatrist. If your intake of Sinemet is very regular, you might be able to minimize the 'off' period by overlapping the doses by several minutes. The problem though often arises from everything else not being equal, that is, you might have had a bite with more protein, or you had a spat with someone, or... You can see where this could lead. Your neuro should be your first line of communication, and if he/she is not satisfactory, seek someone else. -- Michel Margosis 'Carpe Diem' ----- Original Message ----- From: "Benjamin Winter" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Friday, December 15, 2000 7:45 PM Subject: Re: I am afraid and feel as though I am losing control. > Joe, > > You wrote: it's better to boost the Sinemet intake than to > add other drugs with their inevitable side effects. > > From one non-MD to another: instead of increasing Sinemet, > I'd suggest introducing some Mirapex and maintaining or > reducing the Sinemet.
