She's got this discussion under 4 headings already but I've
chosen this heading because this is where it belongs.

The email I got from Jo Ann Coen was not in responce to a private email
conversation ... it was a cowardly off list personal attack regarding
what really was in my opinion a constructive suggestion
I made on the list while discussing future list rules.

Hey, when I get kicked under the table, I'm gonna say ouch.

Jo Anne Coen's post to me was not in the form of discussion or
information sharing...it was name calling out of the list's
ear shot and she is doing this off the list to me and others and
I decided to speak up ...she was asked by me privately to please
not email me anymore ...she asked me if I wanted to be added to her
"avoid list" and I kindly replied, "yes, please". ...in fact SHE
published that private request I made to her to the whole list with
a further discourteous slam.

I hesitate to even respond to anyone anymore. My history speaks for
itself...Check out the Parkinsn Archives to find out who I am. I've been
on this list for 4 years and this is the first time I have been
a target of attacks ...But, be forwarned...if you get my name from
the Parkinsn list and my address from the PD list and send me an
attacking, name calling, private post...I will expose you to
the list....I did not join this list to be abused behind the sceen.

I brought Jo Ann's post to the list because it was a perfect example

of " _relevant_ to and _appropriate_ for the list" to see.

when I wrote:

"I'd like to add a 3rd rule to my list."

[singling out and abusing a list member OFF the list is the same as
doing it TO the list ...thus my suggestion for a third rule for us
to discuss]

3] When someone asks another list member to stop sending
them email, that should be respected and the offending
        member should 'cease and desist'.

Respectfully,
Gail Vass, R.N.

P.S. I certainly don't like bickering and discussing unpleasant
issues doing the holidays either but if that is when it needs to
be exposed and dealt with, then that's when it must be done.

[shall we say that holding a puppies nose to his mess days after
he's dumped on us will not be as effective....]
