It has taken 5 years of presentations of my expenses and income
periodically to City Welfare, and two rounds of efforts
woth th e City Council, the second with an excellent
attorney's advice.> Also, my growing reputation both
as a local patient-advocate and as a piano-playing
PD patient who sponsors research fundraisers has helped.
Go to your municipal councillors or counsel, or try going
to the town social services director. Ask your neurologist
if he or she would be available to comment on or verify what your
specifically PD-relatedmedical and adapative equipment expenses are

HOW DO U GET UR ELECTRIC BILL PAID FOR?
I have not yet applied, but it looks like it is unavoidable.
. It would be by proof that your consumption is reasonable and
that your resources are insufficient. It would be for an occasional
bill,
not every bill, and you would have to demonstrate a Disconnection Notice>

You can look up some relevant laws by searching on the web
under "Maine Statutes" and for my medicaid waiver program,
look under Adults with Physical Disabilities waiver, Alpha
One, Inc. and Bureau of Elder and Adult Services.
